Mysterious Sea Creature Identified As Sea Cow

A huge, hairy mysterious sea creature has washed up on a beach in the Philippines

Locals in Barangay Poblacion were shocked at the discovery of a mysterious sea creature measuring six metres long and two metres wide on Wednesday afternoon.

the massive sea creature washed ashore leaving many locals (and now the internet) wondering what the heck it is.

Sky News reported, the unidentified creature, which measured 4.5 metres (15 feet) in length, surprised local residents.

The carcass, believed to be that of a sea cow, according to the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) Manila, washed up on a beach in Barangay Poblacion, Cagadianao.

Also known as manatees, sea cows are large marine mammals, which eat a mostly herbivorous diet.

Several suggested that the beast could be Appa, a fictional character from the Nickelodeon animated television series Avatar: The Last Airbender.
